Lou,
This has been a very good Monday indeed! Everything about the [C-2A/B Greyhound] far surpasses any resin kit I've seen. From the intricate detail and castings to the meticulous wrapping, you all have went the second mile in producing a kit that surpasses even many injected molded ones. And it is engineered so as to make assembly a breeze. It sure feels good to have a dream come true for a change. Thanks so much for making this possible, and look forward to doing more business with you soon. Take care and much success to you.

| Editor's Note - we received this nice letter from a B-45 Pilot. Always nice to hear from some of the guys who really flew these obscure aircraft. It akes nice reading!
Wow! What a beautiful job! I flew with the 323rd Strat Recon Sqdn, 91st Strat Recon Wing from Nov 1950-Dec '51. Then I flew with the 91st Air Refueling Sqdn which supported the RBs during the early 50s. I flew co-pilot on both assignments. The ship was pure pleasure to fly. It would outperform almost all of the front-line fighters. I've been to 41,000 feet in them and seen .80 mach on the meter. Unfortunately, our ship--8026, was destroyed in a hydroplaning emergency landing at RAF Schulthorpe in early 1951. I was transferred to air refueling and participated in the refueling of the first RAF penetration of Russia on April 19, 1952 using the RB-45C. I have photos of the in-flight refueling that are certified as the only photos taken of this mission--they were sealed for almost 50 years and were printed in 1999. The original slides are now in the possession of the National Reconnaisance Organization. They clearly show the markings on the aircraft.
Thank you for taking the effort to make a beautiful model of one of the finest aircraft built that did a job that no other aircraft was capable of doing in the time frame that was so critical. The knowledge gained from these missions changed the course of the Cold War. The extreme secrecy of these missions kept the RB from even being acknowledged for so long-it's great to see some recognition. I am 79 years old and not quite up to building such a detailed model or I would order one tonite. Again thanks and best wishes in all your efforts.
Sincerely,
Capt. J.M. "Maury" Seitz USAF Retired

| Dear Lou,
The T-39 Kits safely arrived here. Many thanks! The kit is just superb and I hope that I can do it justice. As I prefer civilian subjects,I will probably try either Eastern Airlines or Continental, who used them for crew training. Now, how about a Republic Rainbow,so that I can try a fantasy Pan Am Scheme ?!
Best Wishes

| Hi Lou,
Just finished your FJ-4B Fury. It was a very enjoyable build, and now sits proudly in our window at Ventura Hobbies. It brought back memories of seeing these wonderful planes at Pt. Mugu as a kid when dad worked on the Bullpup program. Added scratch built outer pylons, the practice nuke, and the 150 gal. outer tanks. I have a second kit that I plan doing in VX-4 markings with Bullpups.
I'veKeep up the great work. I used to think...ouch the price, but you do such great subjects and so well...I'm sold! I plan to start your Super Crusader soon.

Lou, Got the E-1 today and the A-3 about a month back. Wow! Both are awesome. You're the Tamiya of resin kit makers with these offerings. The A-3 is going together now and fits like a charm. I've got the E-2, TF-9J and T-2 all finished and hope to take digital pix to send your way. If I do say so, my work would make you proud! Bring on that T-39!

| Just wanted to say, Thanks for all the great resin kits you have. The word injected molded has left my vocabulary since I started building your fine resin kits. Keep em coming and I'll keep building them. Cannot wait to see and build the N.A. B/RB-45.
Many More Thanks - Randy Smith

| The E-2C arrived today [No.198] - in perfect condition. Excellent, excellent, excellent - what else can I say? I'd read a recently posted review of your E-2C that complained about this, that and the other thing. I looked over my copy very carefully and didn't find anything out of the ordinary. Makes me wonder about the value of reviews on the internet - like all else, some good and some not so good, I guess. Anyway, enough yap I have to go and sip a beer and fondle the E-2C. In addition, Lise, my wife, thinks it's real neat.
Thanks again for the prompt dispatch of my order and the great packing that you did. Good stuff. This is my first Collect-Aire kit and it won't be the last....... Just one question - The box top art shows the aircraft carrying code 106AJ on the upper right wing [I think it should be 601AJ]. Just wondering if you did this on purpose to see if we were looking or did the printer zing you? Once again - Thanks Lou.
Cheers - Jim MacKenzie.

| Thanks for your fantastic kits. I purchased a 1/32nd scale T-38 and I am working it into a AT-38 I flew at Holloman many yeas ago. I am completely pleased with the kit.

| Lou...
Just a short note of thanks for getting the "Banjo" out to me so soon. I was not dissapointed...another beautiful kit, and packaged with great care. Wanted you to also know that I am finally finishing up the Mauler AM-1 in the Glenview Naval Air Station Colors that my dad flew in his naval reserve days at the airbase!!. The base has long since closed, and there is now an excellent golf course called the Glen Club in its place, a housing developement where houses on the golf course start at 800,000, and a state of the art mall - shopping area. There will also be a naval air museum featuring artifacts from the Glenview Naval Air Base, and the Mauler I am building will be displayed along with my Dad's picture...how about that!!! At any rate, I am thankful that Collectaire is around to produce such wonderful models of very rare and interesting subjects.....best wishes for a happy new year.

| Hi Lou,
Thanks! I have been so busy that I haven’t taken the time to tell you how great a job you did on the T-38s. I crewed them for 5+ years and you captured a lot of things peculiar to the airplane that most other models have overlooked. Crawling all over an airplane for 5 years makes a guy much pickier about a model that a normal human should be. In fact, the only thing I saw that was incorrect - and this is very petty are then turbine stripes. They haven’t been used since the 60’s and were only one inch wide per stripe. As I said, minor stuff. A greater than great job!

Just wanted to let you know I recieved the "Jeep" the other day, and was very impressed! From the excellent castings and great service, right down to the packaging, the whole experience has been wonderful. I will recommend you highly to the guys in the model club, and anyone else willing to listen! Thanks again!

| Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much I enjoy your kits. I had seen your ads in Fine Scale Modeler for years, but it wasn't until last year that I finally decided to purchase some of your kits. One of those kits was your FJ-3M as I have always liked the looks of that airplane. Upon opening the box when I received it, I was immediately impressed with the detail. I finished that kit a couple of months ago and wanted to let you know that it is one of my favorites!! I enjoyed the building process and encountered very few problems, which is great since it was my first all resin kit. Next up for me is your E-2C Hawkeye, which I hope to start before the end of the year.
I appreciate the fact that your company produces quality kits of important, and sometimes forgotten, aircraft that the plastic companies choose to ignore. I also wanted to take the time to let you know that I just received your F11F-1 Tiger the other day and love the kit.
In closing, I just want to say that I look forward to your future releases, especially your upcoming C-2 Greyhound.
